Warehouse Associate
Position Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for managing the warehouse activities in all retail stores. To do so, they must supervise warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators. They must also assist the Receiving Warehouse Associate in managing daily freight schedules based on customer and inventory needs.
Warehouse Associate Major Duties:
- Plan and allocate the work hours of warehouse personnel every day for effective handling of shipment and reception functions.
- Supervise the daily operations of the warehouse by managing the various tasks related to shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control.
- To effectively manage Storage Buy transactions, it is important to have a strong understanding of inventory management practices and logistics processes.
- Take proactive measures in maintaining your warehouse equipment through scheduled preventive maintenance and timely repairs.
- By prioritizing safety and complying with OSHA regulations, warehouses can create a safer and more productive work environment for their workers.
- Educating employees on the correct methods for carrying out processes is a key component of ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Review feedback and suggestions from employees and take action to improve the employee inquiry process.
- Ensure proper coordination between departments to maintain a seamless warehouse operation.

Warehouse Associate Professional Background:
- The candidate must have experience in leading and supervising employees in a warehouse or distribution center for at least one to three years.
- Exceptional skills in building positive interpersonal relationships, developing effective teams, delegating tasks, and ensuring proper follow-through and accountability.
- The aptitude to work hand-in-hand with teams in different departments to achieve common objectives.
- Expertise in communicating effectively through both written and spoken language.
- Talented in performing easy mathematical computations.
- Proficient in utilizing and managing Windows-based computer systems.
- Expertise in thriving in a fast-moving work environment and delivering projects on schedule.
- Capability to work overtime to meet demands during busy periods.
PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS
- To perform the job requirements, the individual must possess the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 60 pounds and frequently handle items that weigh around 20-30 pounds.
- The skill to accurately handle and sense objects through precise movements and sensory feedback.
- Many routine movements, including standing, walking, and reaching, require minimal effort.
